Created in durable tungsten carbide, this men’s wedding band is inlaid with real lava rock. Lava rock, also known as volcanic rock, forms when hot molten magma erupts from a volcano and cools forming new solid mass. The lava rock used in this men's tungsten ring has many pores and shades of black and gray. Both beveled edges are polished to a brilliant shine and is available in an 8mm width. Tungsten carbide is the newest and strongest metal to be used in jewelry, ideal for men and women who are tired of rings that scratch easily. Tungsten is four times harder than titanium and twice as hard as steel. Please note, inlay is made of a softer material than tungsten and can scratch.

Purchased as a wedding ring and it was a beautiful ring, especially upon first arrival. Quickly, however, the lava rock began wearing away in places all over the ring. From careful use, the ring still has chunks missing now within months of getting it. Sadly it will need to be replaced, and I guess just shelved as a momento.
