This is a great set and the best available way to get a crash course into the genius of Patrice Rushen. The downside is this set is out of print and Amazon market place sellers are charging an arm and a leg for it. I on the other hand was lucky to find a used one before the price increased.Growing up I knew nothing of Patrice Rushen. I had no idea who she was or what her music sounded like, so I jumped in head first blindly into the music. I vaguely remember "Forget Me Nots", but only because it was sampled by Will Smith. When hearing "Forget Me Nots" I would naively refer to it as the "Men in Black" song....How foolish?Anyway, I bought this and have fallen in love with the music of Ms. Rushen. Patrice has the most beautiful tone i've ever heard in R&B music. Her tone is soft, lush and all around pretty. There are singers who shout and they're great. Patti is great. Aretha is great too, but there's something about the way Ms. Rushen sings that touches me. I can't listen to "When I Found You" without being moved.Listen to that song. It's so soothing. "Look Up!" perfectly captures the mood. It's an uplifting song about looking at the good things in life and seeing the positive in bad situations. I also love "Haven't You Heard". "Have u heard/ There's an ad listed in the classified/ Kinda brief/ It only says i'm looking 4 the perfect guy"....I wish I came up with that line.Ms Rushen wrote, sang and composed all of the songs listed here. "Forget Me Nots" was her biggest hit and it's a great song along with "Feels So Real (Won't Let Go)". That's a REAL groove right there!If u have a soul music collection, u need this along with your Aretha, Gladys, Chaka & Deniece Williams. Don't be surprised if u dig Ms. Rushen more than the others after listening to this set. All the tracks are the FULL LENGTH ALBUM VERSIONS, EXCEPT "Forget Me Nots". Get this set! U don't know what you're missing. 5 out of 5 stars.
