Merrill boots are not for everyone, but they are definitely for me! Merrill makes boots that are true to size, but are NOT for wide feet. They have a normal sized toe box but are narrower through the heel. They fit like Nikes do. They last forever - my pair of Merrill summer hiking boots were purchased in 2004 and are still going strong with very little wear showing even on the tread despite trekking through deserts and rain forests. This pair is very very warm, great grip to the tread, and structured through the ankle to present twisting or tweaking your ankle. They look amazing too!
