Product Description

Haven TheraSpecs combine our precision-tinted lenses with an understated style that works everywhere you go. From the front, Haven looks like a normal wire rim frame, but from the side their lenses curve around your face like wrap sports glasses to maximize protection. The rim on Haven TheraSpecs is made of stainless steel which is stronger, lighter, and more adjustable than standard materials. To maximize adjustability and minimize pressure points, their temples are made of TR-90 with adjustable tips and their nose pads are soft, flexible silicone on an articulated hinge. Indoor TheraSpecs are great for wearing near artificial light, such as fluorescents and LEDs, and while working on a computer. Some people also like wearing them outdoors on overcast days. Outdoor TheraSpecs are darker, polarized and offer protection for bright sunlight. All TheraSpecs are 100% UVA/UVB (UV400) blocking and use the FL-41 tint. Haven TheraSpecs come with a microfiber carrying bag.

Product Features

Designed for your light sensitivity: TheraSpecs target the most harmful light between 480nm-520nm, which provides the strongest protection for different sensitivities to light. By controlling exposure to these wavelengths, TheraSpecs may also help people to live well with migraine as part of an overall light management plan.

25x more filtering power: TheraSpecs filter as much as 25 times more irritating light near 480nm than typical blue light glasses with clear or nearly-clear lenses. They also filter more across a wide range of bothersome light so you stay protected against screens, fluorescent lighting, and LEDs.

Feel the difference: 93% of TheraSpecs customers find our glasses helpful for a wide range of needs and lighting situations. Thousands of light sensitivity specialists, neurologists, and physical and occupational therapists have recommended TheraSpecs for light management.

Indoor lenses: Indoor TheraSpecs use FL-41 lenses and block 100% UVA/UVB light. Wear them near fluorescents, LEDs, and other artificial light, while looking at computer or device screens, and/or outdoors on overcast days.

Ultra-lightweight protection: Haven TheraSpecs feature a stainless steel rim with black temples made of TR-90. The ultra-lightweight frame curves around your face to enhance protection from the sides. Haven TheraSpecs also have silicone nose pads, adjustable earpieces, and lightweight materials for minimum pressure.

Pros!:These things are great. The first time I put them on I felt my eyes relax instantly. I had no clue there was even anything wrong with my eyes, I always thought my light sensitivity was normal - lights can be bright :PThese things help you in 2 distinct ways.1: They make your eyes relax. You will feel this immediately! Right after you put the glasses on. It is an amazing moment that anyone with migraines/light sensitivity should experience.2: They make your migraines go away - once your eyes have been relaxed enough. This can take some time for some people. You might still have migraines for a couple weeks, but if you stick with them and wear them all day - or at least while near LEDs/screens - you'll see an improvement in your migraines as well, it just takes time for things to balance out. Some slight cons:These things are one size fits all, like many normal glasses. This means that the ear pieces won't be perfect for you. You may find yourself with them sitting crooked, or one side sliding down more than the other, or that they just fall off of your face. You will want to take these into an eye glasses place and ask them to form the ear pieces for you. They put them in some very hot sand( or something?) and that makes them malleable to form to your head's shape. You may try something similar at home but make sure you heat them - you cannot bend the arms without heating, you'll just ruin your glasses.A slight con of these glasses as I've noticed (may vary with individual) is that some folks where I live treat me differently when I'm wearing them. I can only assume they think I'm a punk or some stoned hippy or something. My experience is that when I wear these glasses I am more likely to be viewed as a thief or liar. I am regularly asked for ID/some sort of proof when doing things while wearing these glasses - picking up a prescription, going to the bank, leaving the grocery store, it's to the point that I will often take them off after checkout at the store to not be stopped on the way out for someone to scrutinize my cart for whatever they assume I stole. This might not bother some folks, but some days I find it quite annoying for people to have one more reason to assume I'm garbage before they interact with me.Finally, you will get folks who make fun of you, or at least bring it up in an unpleasant way. I got these while at my last job, and most everyone was cool with it, since they knew me as a person before I got them. I moved to a new job a couple months ago, with these glasses on for my first day, and have been pointedly made fun of by most folks in the office already.Overall:The judgment doesn't bother me, these things are amazing and no jokes will make me want to have my migraines back, but it's definitely something to consider before purchasing. If you have social anxieties, or serious "I have to fit in" complexes, you might find yourself very stressed out by how folks react to you in these glasses. On the upside, it's like a free maturity meter for everyone in the room with you :) quite entertainingI will be buying another pair to have a second style on hand, and definitely replacing when something happens to you.
